How long is Xera providing free testing service?

At this time Xera Med Research is offering free testing until September 15, 2020.

Why is Xera providing this free testing service?

This effort not only provides much needed free testing to the community, but also contributes to medical advances in covid-19 treatments and prevention.

What is the minimum age limit for the test or a clinical study?

You must be at least 18 years old to be able to test or participate in a clinical study.

How many people per car can get tested?

Each person to be tested must sit in the car at a working car window.

At the drive-thru, what is the car height restriction?

Because you will be driving under a tent, there is a maximum car height restriction of 7’-0”

If you arrive in a vehicle higher than 7’-0” you will have the opportunity to park your vehicle at your discretion at a save location and use the Walk-Up lane. Do not park your vehicle on testing site.

What kind of testing is available?

Only COVID-19 PCR Molecular test is used. Depending on supplies, Xera may be offering self-administered oral swab/saliva test and/or nasopharyngeal swab administered by Xera’s personnel.

How long does it take to get the results?

Our goal is to call individuals with results as soon as possible, although this process may take up to 3 days (especially if we are not able to reach people who tested).

Self-scheduling on the website is the fastest and most convenient way to obtain an appointment.

If you choose to call for your appointment, you will be asked a series of questions before appointment can be scheduled. This process can be lengthy.

I don’t have a car to go thru the drive-thru. Can I still get tested?

Yes. Book a Walk-Up appointment instead of Drive-Thru appointment.

Stay away from vehicles at the site.

Do you offer Antibodies testing?

Not at this time at this location. Antibodies testing at a fee is offered through Boca location. Antibodies testing is a blood test so it requires different set up which cannot be done at a drive thru.

Are symptoms needed to book an appointment?

Many people may be asymptomatic and still have COVID, therefore you do not need to have symptoms to be tested. Priority is given to those who need the test because they may have been exposed to the virus.

Are the bathrooms at the site?

This is a temporary set up so there are no bathroom facilities at the testing site.

I just tested positive for COVID and I would like to participate in one of the studies Xera is doing. How can I get more information?

Who can participate in a study?

There are certain requirements individuals must meet to qualify for various studies that Xera’s medical team will review with candidates.

Since Xera Med Research has multiple ongoing studies, this increases your chances to qualify for one of them.

What do I get if I participate in a study?

Xera Med Research has numerous ongoing COVID-19 related studies. Eligible participants who complete a study will receive reimbursement from $400 up to $3,250, depending of the study they qualify for and successfully complete. You also get potential access to groundbreaking treatments that may save millions of people before they are available to the masses.

What is an example of a clinical study Xera has ongoing at this time?

One of the studies is antibodies cocktail (or placebo) trial for people who are COVID positive and living with people who have not tested positive for COVID. In this case all 18+ y.o. members of the same household may also qualify for reimbursement of up to $3,250.

Participation involves a single dose of antibodies cocktail, follow up visits over course of 30 days, and additional requirements.
